Your posts and comments count towards 20% of your final grade.

Rubric for Posts

(20 points each)

Title Post has a title that relates to content of post and grabs attention of reader. 2 points
Clarity Descriptions, arguments and questions are worded in clear, concise language. 5 points
Argument Student provides an argument, not simply a review of material. Shows original thought and is able to develop ideas. 5 points
Depth of Inquiry Student explores more than the surface of the film or text, asks meaningful questions, and provides insights for further discussion. 5 points
Technical Free of grammatical mistakes. Correct use of words and phrases. 3 points

Rubric for Comments

(10 points each)

Responds to Post Comment shows that student carefully read post. Comment responds to main concerns of post. Shows respect to other student. 5 points
Adds to the Conversation Comment is reflective and either adds to the argument in the blog post with new points or challenges it with a different argument. 3 points
Technical Free of grammatical mistakes. Correct use of words and phrases. 2 points
